As part of NASA’s big Moon 2024 push, NASA has awarded 3 private contractors with development funds to begin development of their respective lunar landers. These lunar landers are intended to launch separately from the Orion crew capsule. Crew will meet up with the lunar landers in lunar orbit and then bring astronauts from lunar orbit to the surface of the moon by 2024!
