  • Atmospheric Weather Balloon

    $40.00$160.00 USD
Launch your science experiment on a high altitude weather balloon made by Totex. The proceeds from your purchase help fund our educational initiatives to promote science and technology amongst students. Due to the sensitive nature of weather balloons, returns are not accepted on this product.
  • OLHZN Circuit Boards

    $14.99$649.99 USD
Experimental. These circuit boards are used by the OLHZN High Altitude Balloon team for high altitude weather balloon tracking. However, the circuit boards are considered experimental and may suffer from unforeseen errors or undiscovered technical deficiencies. An amateur radio license from the FCC is required to operate these in the United States and many other countries worldwide. Check your local governing body for details. Due to the experimental nature of these circuit boards, returns are not accepted on this product. The bare circuit board is the least expensive option, but you would need to purchase the assembly parts yourself. The source code, parts list and assembly instructions can be found at https://github.com/OverlookHorizon/OLHZN_Track If you want to have all the parts included or have the board pre-assembled for you, you may select those options too, if desired. They are not required, though. You can source the parts and build the entire board yourself for the lowest cost.

  • Rocketman Parachutes

    $52.00$97.50 USD
We primarily use Rocketman Parachutes on our high altitude weather balloon flights.  They are excellent quality and perform well.  We have never experienced any tangling and do not need to add extra supports.  They conveniently have a loop at the top of the parachute to connect between your balloon and the parachute and a connection point at the bottom for your payload.  We recommend separating your balloon and parachute by at least 20 to 40 ft. to kite string to ensure the parachute isn't damaged during the balloon burst event.
    • Payload Recovery Parachutes are made of Low-porosity 1.1 Rip-stop Nylon.
    • No shock cord required
    • 4 shroud lines reduce chances of tangling
    • More stable than cross-form or conical chutes
    • Made in the USA
